Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gareth Lewis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ashley Gordon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Gareth Lewis has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Gareth Lewis seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gordon shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Lewis's guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Gordon wants to control from the top but Lewis keeps moving.
Gordon postures up in Lewis's guard and throws a big left but Lewis blocks it.

Lewis is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Gordon defends well.

Gordon wants to control from the top but Lewis keeps moving.
Lewis is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Gordon is looking for a sweep. Lewis is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Gordon is looking to control Lewis's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Gordon avoid being mounted?

Gordon is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Lewis is looking to take a break and control but Gordon is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Gordon cracks Lewis with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

It looks like Gareth Lewis has been cut.
Lewis is breathing heavily.

Gordon stuffs the takedown attempt from Lewis. Lewis gets slowly back to his feet.

Gordon lands a big shot there that rocks Lewis but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Lewis tries to hold on but Gordon postures up.
Gordon postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Lewis looks a forlorn figure.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
