The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Day is looking to clinch but Preuss is avoiding it.
Preuss displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Preuss wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
A slow jab from Preuss misses its intended target.
Day tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Preuss swivels and escapes.
Day throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Preuss's waist but Preuss gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Day off to one side.
Preuss feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Days jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Preuss misses with a hook. Day ducked under it nicely.

and Preuss counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Alexandre Preuss has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of All Day.
Preuss circles away from the clinch attempt.
Preuss avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Preuss throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Preuss lands a head shot.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Day is defended easily by Preuss.
All Day seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Preuss throws a low kick, looking for Day's leg but Day calmly moves out of range.
Day walks into a left hand.

Preuss dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Preuss slaps away a takedown attempt from Day, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Day has a takedown stuffed.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Day is defended easily by Preuss.
Preuss jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Donk. Preuss catches Day right on the button with a cross.
Preuss lands a jab to the nose.
Preuss fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Day manages to avoid it.
Day fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Day fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Day.

Preuss lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Day shoots in and drives through. Preuss sprawls well.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Day is defended easily by Preuss.
Day looks gassed!
Day walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Preuss fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Day checks it well.
Day tries for a takedown but Preuss sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Day closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Preuss's guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Day missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Preuss controls Day momentarily but Day frees himself.
Preuss looking for a sweep. Not yet Preuss, not yet.

Day with a flurry of punches that miss.
Preuss will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Preuss is looking to sweep but instead, Day has passed into half guard.
Day is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Preuss is trying desperately to improve position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Day controlling the pace for now.

Preuss is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Day locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Preuss is forced to tap!
