Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dick Burns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Craig Arnel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Burns comes to the cage accompanied by The Power . Craig Arnel is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burns is trying hard to land a takedown here. Arnel sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Arnel has his foot on Burns's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Burns works his way back into a safe position though.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Arnel is working to avoid the ground and pound but Burns connects with a decent elbow.
Arnel is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Burns is controlling him well.

Burns looks up at the clock and then as Arnel takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Burns smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Burns wants to control for a moment but Arnel uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.
Burns is looking to take a break and control but Arnel is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Burns is nestled in close to Arnel, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Burns postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Arnel on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Arnel doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
