Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Khan lands with a shot to the body.
Cerezo throws a hook to the side of Khan's head but Khan sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Cerezo is defended easily by Khan.

Cerezo cracks Khan with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Khan feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Cerezos jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Cerezo takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Cerezo is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Khan knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Khan tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Cerezo wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
You can see the frustration on Khan's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Khan is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Cerezo is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Cerezo goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Khan has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Cerezo but great work by Khan.
Cerezo is looking for a sweep.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Cerezo is trying to escape the position but Khan is controlling the position.

Cerezo changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Khan tries to avoid it but Cerezo manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Khan to the ground. Khan escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Cerezo has his foot on Khan's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Khan works his way back into a safe position though.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

enabling Khan to counter with a crisp jab.
Khan looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Khan leaves Cerezo with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Cerezo shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Khan pinned against the cage. Khan gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Khan throws a leg kick which misses Cerezo's front leg but catches the back leg as Cerezo tries to avoid it.
Cerezo shoots in looking for a takedown but Khan manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Cerezo's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Khan lands a nice hook to Cerezo's body. Cerezo takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Cerezo clobbers Khan with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Khan is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Cerezo.

and Khan counters with a lovely straight right hand!

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Amir Khan.
I think Khan has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
