The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Washington throws a body kick that misses
and Roofer counters with a nice low kick that buckles Washington's knee momentarily.
Washington misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Washington throws a right and a left that Roofer avoids nicely.
Roofer has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Roofer keeps Washington at a distance using the push kick.
Washington wants to clinch up but Roofer keeps it at a distance.
Washington is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Roofer.
Washington throws out a loose jab but Roofer uses good head movement to avoid it.
Roofer connects with a solid leg kick.
Washington throws a low kick, looking for Roofer's leg but Roofer calmly moves out of range.
Roofer goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Washington will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

and Roofer counters with a nice kick to the body.

Romeo Washington seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Roofer feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Washington's calf.
Roofer scores with a head kick. Washington tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.

The fighters circle, before Roofer throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Washington's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Roofer lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
