Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Chopper Chopper!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Patrick Hurst!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Dillan Fox and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Stalling in the clinch from Chopper.

Chopper gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Chopper trying to control the position from guard on top but Hurst is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Hurst has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Chopper can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Chopper wants to get up but he can't break Hurst's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Chopper controls from within his opponent's guard.
Hurst lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Chopper!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Chopper holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Hurst tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Chopper avoids a series of strikes thrown by Hurst.
Hurst has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Hurst throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Chopper because Hurst loaded up on that one.
Hurst throws some wild stikes that Chopper manages to avoid easily.
Hurst moves to the back position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hurst doesn't have the hooks in and Chopper manages to turn into his guard.
Hurst bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Chopper's guard.
Hurst with a flurry of punches that miss.
Hurst loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Hurst accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Hurst throwing strikes but missing.
Hurst is pushing down on Chopper's leg trying to pass to half guard. Chopper is fighting to maintain full guard but Hurst has managed to sneak the leg through.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Hurst throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Chopper wants to control but Hurst is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Hurst throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hurst wants to free his trapped foot but Chopper is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Chopper is breathing heavily.
Chopper is looking to improve his position.
Hurst throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Chopper is staying active underneath Hurst, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Chopper tries to kick Hurst off but Hurst keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Chopper tries to get to full guard but Hurst has control of the leg.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Hurst seems to be looking for submissions.

Hurst in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Chopper tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Hurst!
