These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Clayton Churcher!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Coke Poep!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Chris Edwards and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Churcher is defended easily by Poep.

Poep scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Poep is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Churcher won't allow Poep to pass to mount.
Poep missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Churcher is pressing down on Poep's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Poep wants to pass the guard but Churcher is keeping the position.

Churcher working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Poep doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Poep manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Churcher had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Poep defends it easily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Poep throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Churcher is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Poep frees his head nicely. Oh but Churcher has switched to an armbar! Poep is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
