The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thomas Jr displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Hotop throws out the jab.
Hotop rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Thomas Jr moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Hotop moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Thomas Jr slips under a jab.
A left lands for Hotop.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hotop throws a hook but Thomas Jr avoids it easily.

Hotop fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Hotop fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

Hotop sends Thomas Jr crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Hotop is motioning to the referee to let Thomas Jr up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
No joy there for Hotop, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Hotop throws a lazy right hand but Thomas Jr sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Thomas Jr dives in and grabs Hotop's left leg, looking for a takedown. Hotop pushes down on Thomas Jr's head and hops out.

Oooooh!!! Hotop has knocked Thomas Jr down with a huge combo! Hotop steps away and waves a wobbly Thomas Jr back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Hotop drops Thomas Jr with a beautiful combination! Thomas Jr stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Hotop is looking for the KO!
This has been an exciting period of action!

Hotop drops Thomas Jr with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Thomas Jr looks back up at him and smiles so Hotop waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Oh Thomas Jr is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Thomas Jr is breathing heavily.
Hotop lands an uppercut, right on the button! Thomas Jr tumbles backwards into the cage, staring vacantly into space! He's got no idea where he is, who he is or what day it is... Poor guy.
