Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Adam Hodgins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jarred Rose!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Bruno Lombardi and David Schapiro.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hodgins shoots and misses
and Rose counters with a left and a right that stings Hodgins.
Hodgins staying out of range there.
Hodgins misses with a takedown attempt

and Rose counters with a nice double leg into side control. Hodgins won't be happy with that.
Hodgins is looking for a sweep.

Rose is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Hodgins has escaped the position, nice work there.
Rose is working Hodgins over with some ground and pound from side control.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Rose creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Hodgins sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Hodgins working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rose doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Rose manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Hodgins is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Rose gets back to full guard.
Rose is trying to keep Hodgins in close.
Rose keeping moving, preventing Hodgins from controlling successfully.
Hodgins stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rose swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Rose is pulling down on Hodgins's head to control his posture.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Jarred Rose was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Hodgins fails with a takedown attempt.
Rose misses with a double jab.
Hodgins shoots in looking for a takedown. Rose tries to sprawl out of it but Hodgins keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Rose manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

and Rose counters with a single leg into guard. Hodgins didn't expect that.

Rose cracks Hodgins with a solid left hand.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Hodgins tries to bench press Rose off him but Rose keeps the position.
Hodgins is not content to let Rose control the position.
Rose is trying to ground and pound but Hodgins uses the momentary lack of control by Rose to regain half guard.
Hodgins has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Rose is working away from the top position though.
Rose thows a huge punch but Hodgins dodges it nicely.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Rose is trying to work for a kimura but Hodgins is defending well.

Hodgins moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Rose trying to control the position from guard on top but Hodgins is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Rose with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Rose accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Hodgins will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Rose's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Hodgins escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Rose gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Hodgins bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Rose's guard.
Rose preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Rose manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The referee warns Hodgins that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Rose working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Rose has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Rose lands a heavy elbow.
Hodgins is trying to escape the mount.

Rose postures up and throws a massive shot that knocks Hodgins out cold! Two more strikes to his unconscious opponent for good luck and this one is all over! Rose goes absolutely crazy with his corner! Wow, you can see how much that win means to him!
