PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Trevor Dunden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Fisher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chris Fisher told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Trevor Dunden!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chris Fisher!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Chris Downing and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dunden rushes Fisher and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Fisher wants to break the clinch but can't.
Dunden tries to stall but Fisher uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Fisher is fighting off a takedown attempt but Dunden is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Fisher to the mat. Fisher regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Dunden takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Dunden is keen to just control but Fisher is a slippery customer.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Dunden bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Dunden bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Dunden tries to close the distance and clinch up but Fisher swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Fisher is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Dunden's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Dunden's back!

Dunden wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Fisher has him pressed against the cage.
Fisher lands a body punch in the clinch.
Fisher has had enough of the clinch but Dunden keeps him there for the moment.

Dunden gets underhooks to prevent Fisher's takedown attempt.

Fisher is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Dunden escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Fisher looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
