The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Banner looks to clinch
and Deveraux counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Banner wants to clinch

A jab lands there for Deveraux.
Deveraux rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Banner moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Deveraux looks to throw the jab but Banner is out of range.

Banner misses with an uppercut. Deveraux saw that one coming.
Banner tries to grapple but his opponent circles
letting Deveraux counter with a right hand.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Banner closes the distance looking to clinch
and Deveraux counters with a lovely straight right hand!
The fighters circling - Banner throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Deveraux lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

and Banner cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Banner attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Banner darts in trying to clinch

and Banner is countered with a crisp right hand from Deveraux that sends him to the canvas! Deveraux follows him to the mat into side control.

Banner is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Deveraux lands a big elbow and you can see that really hurt Banner! Deveraux senses the opportunity and scores with more strikes - he's put Banner out! The ref tackles him out of the way to prevent him landing more strikes - this one is all over!
