And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ronnie Castillo!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Skip Squint and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hawks throws a series of punches but Castillo moves out of range.
Hawks closes this distance looking for a takedown but Castillo circles away.
Hawks throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Castillo.

Castillo has Hawks up against the cage in a clinch.

Hawks has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Castillo uses from the top position.
Castillo wanted to stand there but Hawks had control of the position.

Castillo stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Hawks cracks Castillo with a good jab.

Hawks tries to keep at a distance but Castillo has taken the fight into the clinch.
Hawks has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Castillo avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Castillo tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Castillo lands a nice knee to the body.
Hawks is breathing heavily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

It looks like Jason Hawks has been cut.
Hawks goes for a takedown in the clinch but Castillo prevents it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jason Hawks. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Castillo stalls.
Castillo lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.

Castillo unloads a knee to the mid-section. Hawks lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Castillo lands a damaging elbow.
Oh Hawks is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Castillo lands a big knee! That's hurt Hawks! Oh, he's all over the place! Castillo lands another knee that sends Hawks to the floor and the referee steps in to end the fight!
