The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Denton misses with a wild combination.
Alexander looks for a takedown but Denton sprawls well.
Alexander shoots in for a double leg but Denton sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Denton throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Denton closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Denton swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Alexander counters with a body kick.
Denton looks gassed!
Alexander scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
It looks like Ford Denton has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Denton is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Denton is rocked!
Alexander throws a right and a left that Denton avoids nicely.
Denton is still on wobbly legs! Can Alexander finish him?
Alexander misses with a two punch combination.
Alexander closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Denton is pressed up against the cage. Alexander has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Denton down to the mat. Denton avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Alexander closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Denton quickly recovers to half guard.
Alexander seems to be working for a kimura but Denton defends the submission attempt.

Alexander cracks Denton with a big elbow.
Alexander is trying to get an arm triangle but Denton is defending well.
Alexander works to advance to full mount. Denton defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
BOOM! Alexander connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Alexander tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Denton defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Alexander.
Denton is in a horrible position here. Alexander smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Alexander jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Denton manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Alexander decides to stand back up. Alexander steps back and let's Denton get back to his feet.
The fight stays on the outside here - Alexander looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Denton seems to have recovered his senses.
Denton misses with a two punch combination.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Alexander thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Denton if he has to take too many more of those.
Alexander tries to clinch there but Denton circles away.
Some wild striking there from Alexander.
Alexander fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Alexander throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Alexander tries to clinch but Denton is having none of it.
Horrible takedown by Alexander or perhaps it was just good defense by Denton which made him look bad.
Alexander defending well as Denton loads up on a big left hand.
Alexander explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Alexander shoots in for a takedown but Denton shows good takedown defense.

Alexander gets the takedown into side control.
Denton pushes Alexander away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Alexander gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Alexander tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Alexander has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Alexander stands up and we're back to a striking position.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Denton tests Alexander's chin there with a solid looking shot.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sean Alexander dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Ford Denton's cut.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Denton throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Alexander counters with a left and a right that stings Denton.
Horrible takedown by Alexander or perhaps it was just good defense by Denton which made him look bad.
Denton misses with an uppercut
and Alexander counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Alexander breaks the clinch.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Alexander! Denton is out on his feet! Alexander rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Denton is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Denton is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:21 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sean Alexander!
Our winner, Sean Alexander, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
