Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rand al Thor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Juan Chavez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Juan Chavez!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Robert Douchet and Trevor Gratis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A swing and a miss from Chavez.
al Thor throws a solid leg kick but Chavez takes the impact on his shin and smiles at al Thor.
al Thor lands a nice leg kick that just misses Chavez's sensitive parts.
Chavez throws a right and a left that both miss.
al Thor throws a head kick that misses.
Chavez looks for a takedown but al Thor sprawls well.
al Thor tries to clinch but Chavez is having none of it.
al Thor throws a body punch but Chavez moves out of range.
al Thor displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Chavez throws out the jab.

Chavez throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

al Thor darts in and clinches Chavez up against the cage.
Chavez goes for a takedown attempt but al Thor pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Chavez tries for a takedown but al Thor sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Rand al Thor has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Juan Chavez.
al Thor throws a leg kick which misses Chavez's front leg but catches the back leg as Chavez tries to avoid it.
al Thor feints and then cracks Chavez's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Chavez down.
Chavez looks gassed!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

al Thor throws a leg kick but Chavez moved away.

Good leg kick by al Thor there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
al Thor ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Chavez moves away.
al Thor getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
al Thor is looking to wear down Chavez with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
A nice inside leg kick there by al Thor. That's going to slow Chavez down.

al Thor lands a left hand that snaps the head of Chavez backwards.

The referee calls for al Thor to work.

al Thor has Chavez pressed against the cage, preventing Chavez from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Chavez has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. al Thor avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
al Thor swings wildly with an uppercut but Chavez uses good head movement to avoid it.
al Thor slows down the pace here.
The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with al Thor for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Chavez lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rand al Thor dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

The crowd cheers as al Thor lands an impressive looking overhand right. Chavez doesn't seem phased though.

and al Thor counters with a nice right hand that sends Chavez toppling to the canvas! Chavez scrambles and gets back to his feet - can al Thor finish him?!

Chavez is rocked!
al Thor is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Chavez can do to turn this around?
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
al Thor walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Chavez is still on wobbly legs! Can al Thor finish him?
al Thor is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Chavez stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from al Thor.

al Thor comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
al Thor throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Chavez with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling al Thor to score with a decent uppercut.
Chavez is breathing heavily.

Chavez moves out of range as al Thor throws a body kick.
al Thor works Chavez's body with a nice hook.

al Thor lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
al Thor lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
al Thor circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Chavez to the canvas! Chavez doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - al Thor keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:18 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rand al Thor!
After winning the bout, Rand al Thor thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
