Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between TJ Reynolds (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luis Turner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, TJ Reynolds!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Luis Turner!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Turner shoots in looking for a takedown but Reynolds manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Turner's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Reynolds has a takedown stuffed.
Turner has a takedown stuffed.

Reynolds moves into range and clinches up with Turner.
Reynolds wants a takedown.
Turner is looking for a takedown.
TJ Reynolds has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Luis Turner.
Turner drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Reynolds gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Turner goes for a takedown attempt but Reynolds pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Reynolds lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Reynolds shoots in and drives through. Turner sprawls well.

Reynolds gets the takedown into side control.
Turner is looking for a sweep.

Reynolds is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Turner has escaped the position, nice work there.

Reynolds is trying to get an arm triangle but Turner is defending well.

Turner is not content to let Reynolds control the position.
Turner manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Reynolds trying to work for an americana but Turner has managed to regain full guard.
Reynolds pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Turner is keeping the position for now.
Reynolds wants to control from the top but Turner keeps moving.
Turner seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Reynolds has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Let's hope that Turner has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Reynolds stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Turner swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Turner shoots in but Reynolds avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Reynolds has Turner up against the cage in a clinch.

Turner is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Reynolds is defending well.

Turner lands a takedown into guard.

Reynolds kicks Turner off and gets to his feet.
Turner doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Reynolds counters with a one-two to the body.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Reynolds is looking to chop away at Turner's legs.

Turner gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

TJ Reynolds dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Turner tries to score a power double leg takedown but Reynolds sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Turner somewhat.

Reynolds closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Turner regains half guard, as Reynolds was trying to land strikes.

Turner makes his way to full guard, as Reynolds worked for a kimura.
Reynolds wants to control from the top but Turner keeps moving.

Turner has Reynolds pulled in close to control his posture.
TJ Reynolds overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Reynolds is stalling in the full guard.
Turner wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Reynolds won't allow Turner to sweep him here.

Reynolds is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Turner is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Turner has escaped and now he's on top!

Turner stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Reynolds swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Reynolds is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Turner working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Turner lands a nice forearm strike.

Reynolds tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Turner wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Turner advances nicely into full mount.
Turner breaks from Reynolds's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Turner lands a big elbow.
Turner has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Reynolds wants to hold on but Turner pushes him away.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Turner goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Reynolds is on top in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Turner manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Luis Turner showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Reynolds shoots in for a takedown but Turner shows good takedown defense.

Reynolds throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Turner was covering up waiting for the punch and Reynolds finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Turner wants to sweep but no luck.

Turner has his hands on Reynolds's head, controlling the position.

Reynolds looking to sit in guard and control but Turner gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Turner wants to control from the top but Reynolds keeps moving.
Turner is in close to Reynolds's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Turner slips nicely into half guard.
Turner thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Reynolds's head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Reynolds is looking to control Turner's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Reynolds avoid being mounted?
Turner stalling.
Reynolds wants to improve his position but Turner is controlling well.
Turner passes the guard and advances to mount!
Reynolds is squirming around, avoiding Turner's attempts to control the action.
Reynolds is wriggling around trying to escape.
Turner is landing with some decent strikes but Reynolds is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Reynolds tries to hold on but Turner pushes him away.

Reynolds keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Turner is working for a guillotine from mount but Reynolds frees his head quite easily.
Reynolds wants to hold on but Turner pushes him away.
Turner postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Reynolds looks a forlorn figure.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Luis Turner comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Turner has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
