Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Jiri Piri!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Paul Aken and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Faber ducks under a wild hook from Piri.
Faber decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Faber is working for a kimura but Piri is defending it quite comfortably.
Faber is looking for a kimura but Piri is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Faber to get the leverage.

Faber tries to free his leg and advance position but Piri is retaining full guard.
Piri looking to hit a scissor sweep but Faber is one step ahead there.
Faber sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Piri's guard.
Piri is defending against the submission attempts here by Faber.
Piri tries to kick Faber off but Faber keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Piri is trying to control but can't.
Faber looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Faber is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
