Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Junior Pacquiao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cole Thompson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pacquiao comes to the cage accompanied by Thunderstruck. This should be fireworks!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Thompson rushes Pacquiao and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Thompson manages to break the clinch.

Thompson takes the fight into the clinch.

Pacquiao works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Thompson holds on and takes a little breather.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Pacquiao accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pacquiao wants to pass the guard but Thompson is keeping the position.
Thompson wants to get back to his feet but Pacquiao is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Pacquiao loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Thompson is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Thompson has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Pacquiao clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

You can see the frustration on Pacquiao's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Thompson throws a right and a left that Pacquiao avoids nicely.
Pacquiao stuns Thompson with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Thompson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Pacquiao but Pacquiao pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Nice takedown defense from Thompson. No joy for Pacquiao on that attempt.

Thompson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Cole Thompson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Pacquiao loads up on a big right hand but Thompson slips the punch.
Thompson fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

and Pacquiao counters with a nice uppercut.
Thompson shoots for a double leg takedown but Pacquiao sprawls well. He's pushed Thompson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Junior Pacquiao has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cole Thompson.

Pacquiao manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Thompson manages to get himself to full guard.
Thompson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Thompson thows an elbow strike that misses. Pacquiao gets hold of full guard and has managed to get a loose guillotine attempt. Thompson doesn't seem too bothered but Pacquiao quickly shifts his position and has tightened the hold! Thompson is in big trouble now - he's going a funny colour - he's tapping out! Nice finish there! Thompson really should have spotted the danger earlier though... either incompetence or over-confidence has resulted in a big L on his record.

An out of breath Junior Pacquiao thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
