Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Shigeki Fujiwara and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gordon with a lazy takedown attempt
and Machida counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Gordon keeping full guard, as Machida tries to pass.
Machida is fighting to break Gordon's control of his arms but Gordon is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Machida trying to control the position from guard on top but Gordon is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Gordon is looking for a triangle but Machida pushes his legs off easily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Gordon is trying to control the position but Machida postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Machida wants to pass the guard but Gordon is keeping the position.
Gordon lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Machida!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Gordon jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Machida is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Machida and Gordon has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Gordon has an Americana. Machida didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Gordon is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Gordon hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
