The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

De La Souza moves into the clinch.
Grace tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

De La Souza has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Grace clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
De La Souza has good solid back control here.
De La Souza keeps control of the position as Grace tries to break free.
Grace is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by De La Souza.
You can see the frustration on Grace's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

De La Souza knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Grace on the ground.
Grace breaks De La Souza's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
De La Souza seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

De La Souza rushes Grace and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

De La Souza has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Grace regains guard immediately.

Grace had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. De La Souza defends it easily.

Grace is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and De La Souza defends well.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Grace jumps guard but De La Souza stands there with Grace around his waist. Grace gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Grace gets control of De La Souza's arms and successfully pulls guard. Grace will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Grace escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. De La Souza gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
De La Souza wants to get up but he can't break Grace's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Grace has his foot on De La Souza's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. De La Souza works his way back into a safe position though.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
De La Souza is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Grace will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

De La Souza shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Grace's guard.
