Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mauricio Calvancante (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pete Mercury (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mercury has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Calvancante looks to score with a jab to the body but Mercury is just out of range.

Mercury thows a body shot but no joy.
Mercury stuffs the takedown attempt from Calvancante. Calvancante gets slowly back to his feet.
Calvancante fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Mercury keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Mercury leaves Calvancante with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Mercury slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
