And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Vladimir Khabensky and Aleksei Zolotukhin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kozelkov rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

and Patrick counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Kozelkov looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

Patrick wants the takedown. Kozelkov is fighting it off but Patrick persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Kozelkov's guard against the cage.
Patrick wants to control from the top but Kozelkov keeps moving.
Patrick cracks Kozelkov with a solid left hand.
Patrick content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Patrick distracts Kozelkov with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Chael Patrick has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Patrick has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Kozelkov is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Patrick yanks on the arm and Kozelkov is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Patrick.
