The judges for this bout are Josh West, Colin Fray and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alves throws the kick towards the body but Kamen avoids it.
Kamen tries to grapple but his opponent circles
so Alves counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Alves pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Kamen is keeping the position for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kamen looking to control.
Alves stands and throws Kamen's legs to the side, diving into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kamen is trying to control Alves's posture but Alves avoids it.
Kamen is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Alves asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Alves is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Kamen has escaped the position, nice work there.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Alves is trying to get an arm triangle but Kamen is defending well.
Alves tries to move into full mount but can't pass Kamen's legs.

Kamen can't do much from the bottom here.
Alves passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Kamen!
Kamen has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.
Alves avoiding Kamen 's attempts to control his hands.
Kamen won't enjoy being in this position. Alves looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Kamen is tapping - it's over boys! Alves picks up the submission victory!
