Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Travis Riley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oj Simpson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Travis Riley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Oj Simpson!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Alexandre Firmino and Emerson Jorge.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Riley lets loose with a powerful body kick. Simpson will feel that in the morning.

It looks like Oj Simpson has been cut.
Simpson lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Riley or not.
Riley tries a body shot but Simpson blocks it.

Riley ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Riley no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Riley is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

That was a close round but I would say that Travis Riley will probably get the nod.

Simpson takes one to the chin there.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Simpson lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Riley has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Riley and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Simpson feints and then cracks Riley's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Riley down.

Simpson's corner calls for a 1-2. Simpson obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Simpson does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Riley bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Riley, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
