Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dave Maven (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luke Plouman Snr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Maven comes to the cage accompanied by "System Breakdown" by Eb11. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maven doesn't manage to clinch there - Plouman Snr circles away.
No luck for Maven with that takedown attempt.
Maven swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Plouman Snr counters with a nice kick to the body.
Maven throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Plouman Snr's waist but Plouman Snr gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Maven off to one side.
Plouman Snr with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Maven shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Plouman Snr pivots, looking for a leg kick but Maven is out of range and Plouman Snr settles back down.
Plouman Snr thows a body shot but no joy.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Plouman Snr, right into the meat.
Maven has a takedown stuffed.

Maven chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Plouman Snr can pounce on him.
Plouman Snr looks to score with a jab to the body but Maven is just out of range.

Plouman Snr thuds his shin into the meat of Maven's side.

Plouman Snr wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Maven sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Maven is breathing heavily.

Plouman Snr moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Plouman Snr feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Mavens jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Plouman Snr fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Maven has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Plouman Snr throws a head kick but Maven moves out of range.
Nice uppercut lands for Plouman Snr. That snapped Maven's head back.
Maven on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Plouman Snr. Plouman Snr obviously looking to wear him down.
Plouman Snr lands a nice shot that snaps Maven's head back.
Plouman Snr lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Plouman Snr lands with a thumping leg kick.
Plouman Snr lands with a straight right. Maven didn't see that one coming.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Maven. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Plouman Snr throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Maven takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
A solid leg kick lands there for Plouman Snr.

Plouman Snr buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Maven misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Plouman Snr connects with a body shot that sends Maven's belly button to the back.
Plouman Snr lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Plouman Snr lands with a kick to the temple. Maven shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Maven chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Plouman Snr can pounce on him.

Maven looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Plouman Snr is fending him off so far but Maven persists. Nope, Plouman Snr circles away and we're back to standing.
Plouman Snr lands a brutal head kick. Maven looks out on his feet and Plouman Snr throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
