Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Hatsu Hioki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Evan D (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Evan D was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Hatsu Hioki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Evan D!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Dillan Fox and Ian Loll.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
D swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Hioki counters with a nice body shot.
D pulls out of a head kick attempt.
D shoots in but no luck this time.
D throws a right hand that Hioki ducks under and follows up with a left that Hioki also avoids with ease.
Hioki throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around D's waist but D gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hioki off to one side.
Hioki shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as D sprawls well. D wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Hioki gets slowly back to his feet.
Hioki throws a combination but it was largely blocked by D.
Hioki slaps away a takedown attempt from D, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Hioki connects with a right hand. D shakes it off.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from D lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Hioki has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Hioki and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

and D counters with a good, hard body kick but Hioki shrugs it off.
D shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hioki pinned against the cage. Hioki gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Hatsu Hioki has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Evan D.

D slips a jab and a cross from Hioki.
D scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
D scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
D throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
A slapping leg kick lands for D.

Hioki darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Hioki is working for a kimura but D is defending it quite comfortably.
Hioki throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Hioki thows a huge punch but D dodges it nicely.
Hioki is keen to just control but D is a slippery customer.
D looks like he's trying to stand up.

Hioki is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Hioki is looking for a kimura but D is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Hioki to get the leverage.

D regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Hioki.

D is trying to control the position but Hioki postures up.
Hioki lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
D avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Hioki trying to control the position from guard on top but D is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Hioki looking to sit in guard and control but D gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Hatsu Hioki is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
D fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Hioki avoids it really well and circles away.
D throws a leg kick but Hioki sees it coming and checks it nicely.
D shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hioki but Hioki pushes him off and we're back to square one.

D darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Still in half guard, D seems content to control.

Hioki is trying to get back to full guard.
D is stalling here. Hioki is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! D seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Hioki has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Hioki has hold of D's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! D tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Hioki cranks the arm and D screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from D, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:42 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Hatsu Hioki!
After winning the bout, Hatsu Hioki thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
