Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Snow Crash (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Short Fuse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Short Fuse!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Fuse as Crash shoots in.
Fuse misses with a hook.
Fuse lands a head shot.
Fuse throws a leg kick but Crash sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Crash ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Fuse moves away.
Crash tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Crash walks into a left hand.
Short Fuse seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Crash throws a series of punches but Fuse moves out of range.
Fuse uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Crash.
Fuse uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Crash.
Crash misses with a wild body shot.

Fuse tries a low kick but Crash avoids it.
Crash throws a right and a left that Fuse avoids nicely.
Fuse defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Crash.

and Crash counters with a nice low kick that buckles Fuse's knee momentarily.

It looks like Short Fuse has been cut.
Crash swings and misses with a hook to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Fuse feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Crash's calf.
Fuse dips to his left and cracks Crash with an uppercut!
Short Fuse is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Crash on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

Crash catches Fuse with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Crash takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

and Fuse counters with a stiff right hand.

and Fuse counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Fuse lands with a good body shot.
Fuse dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Crash. That did some damage!
Fuse scores with a leg kick.
Crash is breathing heavily.
A combination from Fuse does no damage.
Crash misses with a body shot
and Fuse counters with a low kick, right behind Crash 's knee.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Fuse moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Crash has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Fuse.

A big head kick from Fuse and Crash is sent sprawling to the canvas!


Crash is rocked!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Crash being controlled here, momentarily.

Short Fuse has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Crash shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Short Fuse dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Short Fuse's cut.
That's time! Crash's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Crash shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Fuse pinned against the cage. Fuse gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Fuse moves into range and throws a big uppercut. OH! Crash goes down! Can Fuse finish him!?
Oh Crash is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!


It looks like Snow Crash has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Fuse is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Crash seems to have got his legs back now.
Crash wants to sweep here but Fuse controlling him for the moment.
Fuse must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Crash is looking for a triangle but Fuse pushes his legs off easily.
Fuse's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Crash might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Short Fuse has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Crash takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Fuse has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Fuse throws a low kick but it's checked well by Crash.
Fuse keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Fuse is looking to slow Crash down with leg kicks.
Short Fuse seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Crash shoots in and bounces Fuse off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Fuse is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Crash is working Fuse over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Crash working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Crash postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Fuse keeping moving, preventing Crash from controlling successfully.
Crash postures up in Fuse's guard and throws a big left but Fuse blocks it.
Fuse looking for a sweep. Not yet Fuse, not yet.
Crash makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Crash with a flurry of punches that miss.
Fuse avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Fuse keeping moving, preventing Crash from controlling successfully.
Crash stands up over Fuse, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.


That has opened up Short Fuse's cut even more.

Fuse working a defensive guard here.
Fuse seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Snow Crash overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Short Fuse was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Fuse lands a nice shot to the body.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Crash.
Fuse leaves Crash with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Snow Crash. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Fuse closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Fuse throws a left jab followed by a right to the body, Oh Crash colapses and takes a barrage of punches from Fuse as he moves to mount! the ref stops the fight and Crash is left battered and dazed whilst Fuse and his camp cheer!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:27 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Short Fuse!
After the fight, Short Fuse was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
