Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Romo Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tommy Gun (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gun has chosen Atheist Quotes as his entrance music. Tommy Gun is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tommy Gun!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Diaz darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Diaz got a little sloppy there for a moment and Gun has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Diaz has managed to get both his arms back between Gun's legs - danger averted.

Gun is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Gun not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Diaz connects with a nice short shot to Gun's temple.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Romo Diaz dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


A telegraphed right hand from Gun misses the target.
Diaz avoids a punch combination nicely.
Diaz fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Gun avoids it really well and circles away.
Diaz tries for a takedown but Gun sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
