PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Berto Dimagiba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ol Bastard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bastard has chosen Montivantion as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bastard listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.

Bastard gets a clinch.
Dimagiba has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Bastard is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Bastard gets control of Dimagiba's arms and successfully pulls guard. Bastard will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Dimagiba throws an elbow that misses. Bastard uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Dimagiba's guard. Nice move by Bastard!

Dimagiba has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Bastard is working away from the top position though.

Bastard decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Dimagiba really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Dimagiba shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Bastard defends it nicely.
Berto Dimagiba seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bastard lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

It looks like Berto Dimagiba has been cut.

Bastard moves into the clinch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Bastard is on top in guard.
Dimagiba will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Bastard seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Bastard tries to close the distance and clinch up but Dimagiba swats him away and circles back towards the center.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Bastard throws a shot from downtown. Dimagiba moves away and avoids it.
Dimagiba shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Bastard as he jumps to the side.
Bastard throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Dimagiba looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Dimagiba shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Bastard pinned against the cage. Bastard gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Bastard connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Dimagiba's hands.

Bastard escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Bastard keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Dimagiba shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Bastard lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Dimagiba at a distance.

and Bastard counters with a nice body shot.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Bastard connects with a body shot that sends Dimagiba's belly button to the back.

Dimagiba is rocked!
A decent looking cross lands there for Bastard.
Oh Dimagiba is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Bastard darts in and lands a big hook, right on the button! Dimagiba's legs crumble underneath him as he falls to the canvas! The ref tackles Bastard before he gets to land any more shots to his stricken foe.
