Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mikhail Volkov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrei Tibayan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Volkov has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Volkov uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Tibayan.

and Tibayan counters with a three punch combo that has Volkov backing up. Volkov nods at Tibayan to acknowledge the strikes.

and Volkov takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Volkov is breathing heavily.
Volkov slips a jab and a cross from Tibayan.
Tibayan throws an overhand right that lands on Volkov's shoulder, as Volkov tries to avoid the shot.
Tibayan pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Volkov back to the cage. Tibayan follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Tibayan throws a right and a left that Volkov avoids nicely.

Volkov takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Tibayan tries to bum rush Volkov with a series of wild strikes but Volkov uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Tibayan throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Volkov sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Tibayan lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Tibayan drops Volkov with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Volkov looks back up at him and smiles so Tibayan waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Volkov is rocked!
Volkov drops his hands momentarily. Tibayan doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Volkov staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Volkov doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.

Andrei Tibayan decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
