Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bill Hooper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Bill Hooper!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jack King!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Steven Brown and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King looks to land a combination but Hooper avoids it well.
Hooper misses with a double jab.
King misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
King circles away from the clinch attempt.
Hooper is on the wrong end of a nice combination from King.
Jack King seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
King throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
No luck for Hooper with that takedown attempt.

Hooper changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. King looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
King is pushing Hooper's head away, looking to escape. Hooper manages to hold on to the position though.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Hooper stands up.
King throws a series of punches but Hooper moves out of range.

Hooper shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. King manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Hooper stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. King swivels though and keeps the full guard.
King really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hooper. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
King wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Hooper manages to pass to side control.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if King can do anything to dispel that myth.

Hooper stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows King to get to his feet.
Hooper throws a head kick but King moves out of range.

King connects with a nice looking jab.
Hooper wants to clinch up but King keeps it at a distance.
Jack King is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

King throws a series of strikes that have Hooper backpedaling.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Hooper slips a jab and a cross from King.
King throws a right and a left that both miss.
King fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
King cracks Hooper with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Hooper misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Sloppy strikes from King. Those never looked like landing.
King looks gassed!
No joy there for King, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
King throws a nice looking combination but Hooper bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Nice sprawl there from King as Hooper shoots in.

and Hooper decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in King's guard.
Hooper postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
King can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Hooper controls the pace.

King wants to stand and escape but Hooper is having none of it.
Hooper postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Hooper pushes down on King's leg and manages to get into half guard.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Hooper scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Hooper not doing much here.
Hooper moves into full mount! King won't be happy about that!

Hooper has hold of King's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and King manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Hooper takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


King goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Hooper avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

King tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Hooper paws at him with a jab and circles away.
King connects with a single shot there.

King is looking to break free of the clinch but Hooper has double underhooks.

Hooper pulls King into guard.
Hooper managing to control the position.
King must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Hooper is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
King wants to stand and escape but instead Hooper has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
King is wriggling around but Hooper manages to pass to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hooper stops King from getting back to his feet.
Hooper is nestled in close to King, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Hooper is looking to take a break and control but King is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Hooper drops an elbow to the side of King's head.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
King is refusing to be controlled, as Hooper sits in half guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Hooper works his foot free and advances to mount.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hooper scoring with strikes but King is staying in there.
Hooper is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. King is in real trouble.
King wants to get back to his feet.
King is breathing heavily.
I would not like to be King right now.
Hooper has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for King.
King is trying to get back to his feet but Hooper has full control of the position and if anything, King has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Hooper wants to control but King is keeping busy.

Hooper is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but King won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Hooper off his unconscious opponent!
