Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between John Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Seany Scholes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Scholes comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Wonderwall - Oasis kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Scholes tries to close the distance and clinch up but Smith swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Scholes is trying hard to land a takedown here. Smith sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Scholes ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Scholes no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Smith got a little sloppy there for a moment and Scholes has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Smith has managed to get both his arms back between Scholes's legs - danger averted.

Scholes shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Smith but Smith pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Scholes throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Smith was covering up waiting for the punch and Scholes finishes the takedown easily into guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
