Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scandral blocks a head kick by Jones.
James Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jones tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Scandral tries to keep at a distance but Jones has taken the fight into the clinch.
Scandral tries a knee to the head but Jones blocks it.
Jones with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Scandral tries to circle away but Jones has him pinned against the cage.

Scandral shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Jones sprawls well. Jones wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Scandral gets slowly back to his feet.

Jones shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Scandral's guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Scandral sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

James Jones overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Scandral is in all sorts of trouble here.
