Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ruslan Smirnov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jacek Kowalski!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Anni Minnemäki and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kowalski moves into range and clinches up with Smirnov.
Kowalski trying to control the position but instead, Smirnov has worked for underhooks and has pushed Kowalski into the cage.
The referee is keeping an eye on Smirnov - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Smirnov is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Kowalski is keeping busy.
Smirnov tries to work over Kowalski's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Smirnov slowing the pace effectively.
Smirnov tries to break free but Kowalski pushes him back against the cage.
Smirnov avoids the elbow strike from Kowalski, against the cage.

Smirnov is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Smirnov wants the takedown. Kowalski is fighting it off but Smirnov persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Kowalski's guard against the cage.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Smirnov throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kowalski works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Smirnov thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Kowalski's head.
Smirnov throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Smirnov frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Smirnov lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Kowalski is wriggling around trying to escape.
Smirnov connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Smirnov throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Kowalski because Smirnov loaded up on that one.

Smirnov has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Kowalski is rocked!
Kowalski can't escape the position.
Kowalski is still in real trouble! Can Smirnov finish him?
Kowalski is squirming around, avoiding Smirnov's attempts to control the action.
Smirnov lands a big elbow - Kowalski is in trouble! More strikes from the mount and Kowalski is forced to tap out!

Ruslan Smirnov tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
