Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Johnny Walker!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Alyssa Summers and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Walker tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Bonnar swats away the attempt to clinch by Walker.
Walker wants to clinch up but Bonnar keeps it at a distance.
Bonnar has a takedown stuffed.
Bonnar circles away from the clinch attempt.

Walker clinches.

Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Walker.
Walker has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Bonnar is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Walker stops a takedown attempt from Bonnar.
Bonnar on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Bonnar is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Walker gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Stephan Bonnar. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Walker escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Walker moves in looking to clinch but Bonnar pushes him off.
Walker wants to clinch up but Bonnar keeps it at a distance.

Bonnar feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Walker wants to sweep but no luck.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bonnar content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Walker preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Walker can do anything to dispel that myth.
Bonnar is standing up over Walker. Walker looks to escape but Bonnar dives into side control.
Bonnar content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
The strikes coming from Bonnar are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

Bonnar wants to control but Walker is keeping him busy.
Bonnar working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Walker is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Walker wants to get back to his feet but Bonnar is dominant here and he's now got Walker's back!
Walker looks gassed!
Bonnar has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Walker's face.

Bonnar is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Walker can't stay in a position like this for much longer.


Walker is rocked!

Bonnar scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Walker is still in real trouble! Can Bonnar finish him?
Bonnar postures up and lands a whopping elbow - oh that's hurt Walker bigstyle! Two more strikes land for Bonnar and the fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Stephan Bonnar!
