Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Lucas Andre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nelson Torres (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nelson Torres is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lucas Andre!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Nelson Torres!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Felipe Paraventi and Emerson Jorge.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Torres closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Torres in side control, throwing shots but Andre defends.
Torres is looking to take a break and control but Andre is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Andre is looking for a sweep.
Torres controls the position from side control.
Andre manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Andre is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Torres gets full guard.
Andre postures up.
Andre wants to get up but he can't break Torres's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Torres is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Andre is aware though and is defending well.

Torres working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Andre doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Andre manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Torres not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Andre really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Torres wants to stand but Andre is controlling the position.

Torres has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Andre can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Andre throws an elbow that misses. Torres uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Andre's guard. Nice move by Torres!

Torres stands up and waves to Andre to follow him.

Andre throws a right hand that Torres ducks under and follows up with a left that Torres also avoids with ease.
Andre shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Torres pinned against the cage. Torres gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Andre leaves Torres with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Torres wants to clinch up but Andre keeps it at a distance.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Torres manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Torres is defending well against a takedown attempt.

Torres manages to break the clinch.
Torres swats away the attempt to clinch by Andre.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Andre misses the shot to the body.
Torres tries to close the distance and clinch but Andre swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Andre shoots in and drives through. Torres sprawls well.
Torres throws a head kick but Andre moves out of range.
Andre fails with the takedown

and Torres counters with a shoot takedown. Andre fights it but they end up in guard.
Torres is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Andre is working an open guard so Torres takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Torres misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Torres rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Andre moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Torres throws a head kick but Andre moves out of range.

Torres changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Andre looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Torres wants to lay and pray for a moment but Andre keeps working.

Torres has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Torres is breathing heavily.
Torres fails with an attempt to clinch.

Andre fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Torres to the ground. Andre is now in Torres's guard.
Andre wants to stand and escape but instead Torres has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Torres trying to control but Andre is working from the bottom.

Torres gets to his feet. Andre looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Torres swats away the attempt to clinch by Andre.

Andre gets caught flat footed, as Torres shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Torres gets to his feet - Andre follows without any prompting.
Andre throws a sloppy head kick and Torres moves out of range easily.
Torres fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Andre shoots for a takedown but Torres saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lucas Andre. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Torres scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Andre is controlling Torres's trapped leg to prevent Torres from advancing to side control.
Andre has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Torres is working away from the top position though.
Andre is looking to get back to full guard here but Torres has managed to pass to side control instead.
Andre is trying to work for a sweep but Torres has mounted him!
Torres takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Torres wants to control the pace but Andre is squirming around nicely.

Torres goes for an armbar but Andre turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Andre.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Torres is on top in guard.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Nelson Torres showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Torres tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Nelson Torres is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Torres can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Andre is looking to escape.

Well Torres has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
