PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nanaki Yotomishi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alan Oro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alan Oro told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oro takes a swing at Yotomishi's ribcage but misses.
Oro fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Yotomishi has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Yotomishi is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Yotomishi tries to clinch but Oro moves out of range.
Oro scores with a push kick.
Oro bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Oro tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Oro tries to clinch up but Yotomishi circles away and keeps his distance.
Oro avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Yotomishi moves out of range of the body kick.
Yotomishi doesn't manage to clinch there - Oro circles away.
Oro throws a series of punches but Yotomishi avoids them all with ease.
Oro takes a swing at Yotomishi's ribcage but misses.
A nice leg kick lands there from Oro.
Yotomishi shoots for a takedown but Oro saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Yotomishi stuffs the takedown attempt from Oro. Oro gets slowly back to his feet.
Oro just misses with a punch to the body.
Yotomishi takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Yotomishi is breathing heavily.
Oro scores with a body shot.
Oro thuds his right hand into Yotomishi's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Oro is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Yotomishi rather than just go for the knockout.
Oro works Yotomishi's body with a nice hook.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Alan Oro seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Oro uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Yotomishi has time to react.
A nice leg kick lands there from Oro.
The fighters circle, before Oro throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Yotomishi's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Oro lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
