Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tamong Kodo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marionetka Pudzianowska (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Tamong Kodo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Marionetka Pudzianowska!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Roosa Järviläinen and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kodo scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Pudzianowska doesn't seem bothered though.
Tamong Kodo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kodo tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Pudzianowska was well out of range. Poor timing from Kodo.
Kodo loads up on a big right hand but Pudzianowska slips the punch.
Pudzianowska shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Kodo throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Kodo looks to land a left hand but Pudzianowska moved out of range nicely.
Kodo misses with a looping right.
Kodo throws an ugly left hook that misses

and Pudzianowska decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Kodo's guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Pudzianowska looking to sit in guard and control but Kodo gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kodo is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Pudzianowska holds on and takes a little breather.
Kodo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pudzianowska swivels though and keeps the full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Pudzianowska controls Kodo momentarily but Kodo frees himself.
Kodo's corner is telling him to maintain position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Pudzianowska takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Kodo cracks a nice hook into Pudzianowska's ribs.
Kodo throws a right and a left that both miss.
Kodo circles away from the clinch attempt.
Pudzianowska misses with a takedown attempt
and Kodo connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.


Pudzianowska is rocked!
Pudzianowska gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Kodo gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tamong Kodo!
Tamong Kodo decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
