Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sebastien Servia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Huard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Servia.
Servia tries to close the distance and clinch but Huard swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Huard swings and misses with a hook to the body.
No luck for Huard with that takedown attempt.
Servia lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Huard circles away quickly and effectively.
Huard throws an overhand right that lands on Servia's shoulder, as Servia tries to avoid the shot.
Servia explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Servia stuffs the takedown.
Sebastien Servia has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jake Huard.
Huard tries to close the distance and clinch up but Servia swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Jake Huard seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Huard is defended easily by Servia.

Huard shoots in for a takedown but Servia shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Huard will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Huard looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Servia is fending him off so far but Huard persists. Nope, Servia circles away and we're back to standing.

Servia dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Huard. That did some damage!
Huard avoids the head kick by Servia.
Huard closes this distance looking for a takedown but Servia circles away.

Huard fails in his attempt to clinch.
Huard takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Servia lands a leg kick that knocks Huard off balance momentarily.
This has been an exciting period of action!

It looks like Jake Huard has been cut.

Servia closes the distance and pushes Huard back into the cage.

Servia with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Huard to score with a decent uppercut.

Servia goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Huard stuns Servia with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Huard decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Huard uses his free foot to push down on Servia's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Servia.

Huard is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Servia to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Servia shrugs it off.

Huard jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Servia is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Servia and Huard has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
