Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Joe Kid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Candido (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Joe Kid has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kid gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Candido counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Kid looks like he's trying to stand up.
Candido trying to control from half guard but Kid is working away.

Candido is working for a kimura but Kid is defending it quite comfortably.
Candido tries to pass to full mount but Kid defends it.
Candido is trying to control the action in half guard but Kid is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Kid kicks Candido off and gets back to his feet.
Kid looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Candido is fending him off so far but Kid persists. Nope, Candido circles away and we're back to standing.

Candido wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kid keeps working.

Kid won't allow Candido to pass to mount.
Kid might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Candido wants to take a breather but Kid is having none of it.

Chris Candido has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Candido stuffs the takedown.

Candido drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Kid is not content to let Candido control the position.
Kid is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Candido wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kid keeps working.

Candido thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Kid is pushing Candido's head away, looking to escape. Candido manages to hold on to the position though.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Candido is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Kid looks calm but he's in trouble here. Candido gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Kid is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Candido lets go of the hold and Kid can pop his arm back in it's socket.
