Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lyoto Rua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ross Maxwell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rua's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, AVANTASIA-Seven Angels. Maxwell has chosen Sonne - Rammstein as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Ross Maxwell was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rua uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Maxwell.
A low kick from Maxwell misses
and Rua cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

It looks like Ross Maxwell has been cut.
Maxwell tries to clinch up
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Maxwell closes the distance and clinches up with Rua, looking for a takedown. Maxwell pushes Rua against the cage but Rua circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Maxwell keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Rua.
Maxwell tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Rua was well out of range. Poor timing from Maxwell.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Rua gets the takedown into side control.
Rua advances to mount.
Rua thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.

Rua with the ground and pound from mount.
The referee warns Maxwell that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Maxwell is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Maxwell is desperately trying to improve his position but Rua has a good base and remains in mount.
Maxwell is still in real trouble! Can Rua finish him?
Rua postures up and throws a massive shot that knocks Maxwell out cold! Two more strikes to his unconscious opponent for good luck and this one is all over! Rua goes absolutely crazy with his corner! Wow, you can see how much that win means to him!
