The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wheaton is trying hard to land a takedown here. Brown sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Brown shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Wheaton's guard.
Brown trying to control the position from guard on top but Wheaton is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Brown is looking to work some ground and pound but Wheaton has wrist control.
Brown wants to control from the top but Wheaton keeps moving.
Brown wants to pass the guard but Wheaton is keeping the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Brown is working hard here to advance position.
Brown slips nicely into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Wheaton wants to get back to his feet.
Wheaton is staying active underneath Brown, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

You get the feeling that Wheaton really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Brown lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Wheaton hang on?

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Brown can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Wheaton is looking to escape.

Brown is really struggling to control Wheaton but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Wheaton can't keep his opponent in guard - Brown advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Brown is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Brown has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Wheaton defend it? Brown steps over the head and cranks it - Wheaton is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Brown!
