The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
OFallon throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Palhares tries to score a power double leg takedown but OFallon sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Palhares somewhat.
Palhares fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but OFallon avoids it really well and circles away.
OFallon lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by OFallon.
OFallon scores with a crisp jab that stopped Palhares in his tracks.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Palhares is defended easily by OFallon.
Jimmie OFallon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rodrigo Palhares.
OFallon misses with a double jab.
Oooooh!!! OFallon has knocked Palhares down with a huge combo! OFallon steps away and waves a wobbly Palhares back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
It looks like Rodrigo Palhares has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
OFallon uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Palhares has time to react.
