Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Andre Rector!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wright has his takedown stuffed

and Rector counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Rector sitting and controlling from the half guard.
Wright trying to control but Rector postures up.
Rector seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Andre Rector has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Wright scores with a slapping inside leg kick.

Rector's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Andre Rector.
Wright misses with a leg kick.

Rector closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Wright to the mat! Wright manages to get full guard.
Wright will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Rector tries to free his leg and advance position but Wright is retaining full guard.
Rector must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Rector's corner is telling him to maintain position.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Andre Rector wasn't active enough on the ground.

Rector is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Wright can't fight it off and eventually Rector manages to take the fight to the floor. Wright looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Rector is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Wright has a closed guard, preventing Rector from standing up.

Wright is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Rector has his hands clasped together but Wright extends an breaks Rector's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Wright.
