The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Dmitry Maklakov and Fedor Mirinova.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ferguson looks to land a left hand but Murray moved out of range nicely.
Ferguson rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Murray counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Murray swings for the body but Ferguson moves out of range.
Ferguson connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.

Murray fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Ferguson, pushing him back against the cage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Murray has clasped his hands together around Ferguson's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Murray connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Ferguson some visible discomfort.

Ferguson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Murray. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Ferguson avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Murray.

Murray is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Ferguson knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Murray tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Ferguson can do anything to dispel that myth.

Murray thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Murray has hold of Ferguson's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Ferguson tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Murray cranks the arm and Ferguson screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Ferguson, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
