The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spite jabs Valentine right on the nose. Valentine blinks but takes it well.
Spite drops Valentine with a right and a left! Spite comes rushing in but Valentine regains his composure and manages to keep Spite in guard.

Valentine is rocked!

It looks like Orpheus Valentine has been cut.
Spite sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Oh Valentine is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Valentine is looking for a triangle but Spite pushes his legs off easily.
Spite really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Valentine. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Valentine throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Spite escapes and throws Valentine's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Valentine seems to have got his legs back now.
Valentine is trying to get back to half guard.
Valentine prevents Spite from improving position.

Valentine tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Spite trying to control the action but Valentine is working from the bottom.
Valentine trying to control but Spite flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Valentine is really stuck here.

Spite keeps control of the position as Valentine tries to break free.
Valentine is breathing heavily.
Valentine manages to reverse the position and now he's in Spite's guard. Nice work there by Valentine.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Spite lunges at Valentine with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Valentine's hand.
Spite lands a head shot.
Spite connects with a looping right hand.
Valentine fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Jab, jab by Spite - just one landing.
Valentine throws the kick towards the body but Spite avoids it.
Horrible takedown by Valentine or perhaps it was just good defense by Spite which made him look bad.
Spite lands with a right that hurts Valentine. Valentine looks to clinch but Spite throws a short knee that drops Valentine. This one is all over!
