Giacomucci doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Funkyama counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Giacomucci thinking.
Nice sprawl there from Funkyama as Giacomucci shoots in.
Funkyama catches Giacomucci with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Giacomucci shoots in but Funkyama avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Giuseppe Giacomucci. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Giacomucci shoots and misses
and Funkyama counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Funkyama tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Giacomucci was well out of range. Poor timing from Funkyama.
Funkyama connects with a looping right hand.

Funkyama lands a big head kick that sends Giacomucci tumbling to the mat! Funkyama takes a step backwards and waves Giacomucci back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Funkyama throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Funkyama slips a straight right by Giacomucci.
Funkyama throws a sloppy head kick and Giacomucci moves out of range easily.
Funkyama punishes Giacomucci's body with a nice straight punch.
Giacomucci is breathing heavily.
Funkyama throws a powerful right kick. Giacomucci tried to block low but the kick was high! Giacomucci was taken right off of his feet! Funkyama jumps in to finish the job and the ref tackles him! The fight is over!
