The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wiesenthal throws a hook but Katsaros avoids it easily.
Wiesenthal walks forward, straight into a front kick from Katsaros.

Wiesenthal tries to close the distance and clinch but Katsaros swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Wiesenthal needs to keep his hands up - Katsaros had a free shot at his head there.
Simon Wiesenthal seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wiesenthal takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Wiesenthal throws a body punch but Katsaros moves out of range.

Katsaros lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Wiesenthal bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Wiesenthal tried to score with a low kick but Katsaros checks it.
Katsaros scores with a crisp jab that stopped Wiesenthal in his tracks.

Katsaros tries to sprawl but Wiesenthal drives through with a takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Wiesenthal looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Wiesenthal is pressing down on Katsaros's thigh, looking to free his foot. Katsaros is holding on for now.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Simon Wiesenthal was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Katsaros lands a nice looking kick to the body. Wiesenthal takes a step back to recover.

Wiesenthal fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Katsaros sprawls well initially but Wiesenthal persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Katsaros regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Wiesenthal.

Wiesenthal working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Katsaros will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Wiesenthal stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Katsaros swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The fighters circle momentarily. Katsaros darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Wiesenthal shoots for a double leg takedown but Katsaros sprawls well. He's pushed Wiesenthal's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
