Nikil comes to the cage accompanied by Wait and Bleed by Slipknot. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hodgins has his takedown stuffed
and Nikil counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Nikil throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Hodgins tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Nikil is in Hodgins's guard.

Nikil drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Hodgins manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Nikil has Hodgins in his guard.
