Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mason Taylor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vic Sommers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Taylor comes to the cage accompanied by Red Rider - Lunatic Fringe. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, William Peck and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Taylor throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Sommers sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Taylor misses with a body shot.
Taylor connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Sommers momentarily.
Mason Taylor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sommers misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Taylor.
Sommers throws a head kick but Taylor moves out of range.

Sommers shoots in looking for a takedown. Taylor tries to sprawl out of it but Sommers keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Taylor manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Sommers doesn't manage to clinch there - Taylor circles away.
Taylor looks to land a right hand but Sommers moved out of range.

Sommers fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Taylor on the side of the head.

Sommers buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Taylor throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Taylor connects with a body shot that sends Sommers's belly button to the back.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Taylor bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Sommers's head.
Sommers loads up on a big right hand but Taylor slips the punch.

Taylor throws an overhand right that lands on Sommers's shoulder, as Sommers tries to avoid the shot.

Taylor swings for the body but Sommers moves out of range.

Sommers fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Taylor checks it well.

Sommers takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

A looping hook to the body misses from Sommers. Taylor does a little dance to reset his feet.
Taylor slips a jab and a cross from Sommers.
Sommers throws out a powerful jab.
Taylor swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Taylor fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Sommers sprawls well initially but Taylor persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Sommers is trying is best to control the position here.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Taylor stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sommers swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Taylor cracks Sommers with a big right hand but Sommers just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Taylor connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Sommers some visible discomfort.
Taylor wants to control but Sommers is keeping him busy.
Sommers sneaks back into half guard.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Sommers is looking for a sweep. Taylor is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
