The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marsu shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Funkyama pinned against the cage. Funkyama gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Funkyama throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Marsu.
Marsu blocks a head kick by Funkyama.
Marsu doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Funkyama makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Marsu is breathing heavily.
Marsu needs to keep his hands up - Funkyama had a free shot at his head there.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Funkyama lands with a straight right. Marsu didn't see that one coming.

Oh Marsu is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Look low, kick high! Funkyama uses the oldest trick in the book to send Marsu tumbling to the canvas, in a truly brutal knockout! Funkyama is absolutely delighted - when Marsu wakes up, I doubt he'll be quite so happy!
